How to have a memorable weekend in The Hague (Den Haag), Netherlands

Are you planning a weekend getaway with your loved one or as a trip with your friends? Then I highly recommend Den Haag in the Netherlands. In this post you’ll see my favorite spots in the city.

Take the public transport

Since parking is really expensive for a whole day in the city, I would recommend taking the public transport. Just download the public transport app for Den Haag and pay for a ticket with your credit card. The old tram which drives through downtown is also worth a ride. It’s really unique and you will get a great view from the city.
The times I drove around the city, I’ve never experienced much traffic and in the parking garages there were always spots to park.

Explore downtown

Downtown is such a great spot to be at in Den Haag. There are so many ‘instagrammable’ spots and places to eat and drink.

Go shopping at Mall De Passage

In downtown there is the ‘Mall De Passage’, where the more high end stores are located at. But just for the view, the passage is absolutely stunning.

Stop by at Bloemenwinkel

When walking around the neigbourhood near downtown, there is a stunning florist named ‘Bloemenwinkel’. Again, a very instagrammable place to be.

Have lunch at the Bleyenburg roof terrace

If you would like to have a awesome view about the city and lounge at a rooftop, the ‘Bleyenburg Roof Terrace’ is the place to be. They have great music and a beautiful scenery there.

Walking around the Paleis Noordeinde

Later at the day, you need to stop by the ‘Paleis Noordeinde’. It’s very breathtaking and there is a lot of history to see.

Take a look at the Kurhaus

The next spot to see, is the ‘Kurhaus’ in Scheveningen. Just hop on the next tram and drive to Scheveningen. Trust me, you’ll be amazed on how big the Kurhaus is and how beautiful.

Watch the sunset from De Pier Scheveningen

‘De Pier’ is the ultimate Den Haag spot. From there you can get access to the ferris wheel. On the pier are places to snack something in the day time and take a look at a surf school.

Lay back at the Beachclub bora bora

On the beach there a so many beach bars. It can get hard to choose the perfect one. If you would like to relax, the ‘Beachclub Bora Bora’ is a great place to be. The music is really nice and the food is amazing. A perfect spot for a romantic date night.

Dine at the Bit Grill and Café

If you would like to eat at a amazing restaurant, the ‘Bit Grill and Café’ is a nice option. It’s located in downtown. The scenery is beautiful and the food is very delicious. Perfect to end an amazing weekend in Den Haag.
