5 ideas on how to decorate cohesive with thrifted Christmas decor
Hey loves ♡
Would you like to know, how I styled my dresser in a cohesive style with thrifted Christmas decor?
In this post I’m going to share all the goods I’ve bought and DIY’ed.
You don’t have to go out every year and buy new Christmas decor. Just head over to your local thrift store and score some amazing vintage items.
1. With lights & a small tree
My favorite find of all, is my golden Christmas tree. With that I’ve found a golden star and put it on top of the tree. Moreover I’ve found some white knitted coasters to put underneath the tree. The lights are a perfect addition to hang up in your bedroom.
2. With Christmas ornaments
The next thing you should look out for, are ornaments. I’ve seen so many ornaments in every style and color. My favorite ones are the fluffy ones. I’ve stored the golden ornaments in a thrifted fruit bowl in a pretty copper color.
3. Decorate with vintage frames
I would always recommend checking out the home decor section at your thrift store. I’ve found 2 vintage mirrors which are great pieces to style for Christmas. The golden frame was originally white and I’ve spray-painted it.
4. Fill picture frames with polaroids
Furthermore picture frames are also a great idea to purchase. I’ve spray-painted these old frames into a shining gold color and photographed the Christmas decor with my polaroid camera.
5. Make your own snow-stable
The last idea of mine would be, to look at kids toys or statues to DIY. I’ve made this snow stable by spray-painting these old horses into a glittery golden color. I’ve also spray-painted an old tray with gold color and topped it with some snow-spray. In order to give them a lighting effect, I’ve put some fairy-lights into the stable, which I’ve bought for 50ct.
I hope you got inspired with my ideas on how to decorate in a cohesive way with thrifted items for Christmas.
